About Me

As a graduate of Portland State University, and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Oregon, I have been providing comprehensive behavioral health assessments since 2016 and work closely with the various State and Federal defense attorneys here in the Portland area. Concurrent to this, I hold a certification in substance abuse counseling and have worked for several substance abuse treatment agencies in the Portland area including various internship opportunities since 2013. My experience in the field has led me to serve a variety of populations and levels of care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This experience has helped me solidify skills in personalized assessment and effective treatment planning. Additionally, I have extensive experience with the criminal justice population and can closely identify with their needs and experiences. Ultimately, I serve a population of marginalized individuals who struggle with substance abuse and mental health issues—a population involved in the criminal justice system resulting from or exacerbated by these very struggles. Many of us know that criminal behavior is often a symptom of significant underlying issues that typically involve childhood trauma, substance abuse, or mental illness—problems that if treated appropriately can reduce or even nullify recidivism, providing individuals with a greater chance at success and experience sustained recovery. My purpose is to provide accurate representation to the courts so these individuals can access the services they desperately need.
